Thangka is renowned as the Encyclopedia of Tibet. It refers to all aspects of Tibet, including Tibetan history, politics, culture and social life, etc. The process of making Thangka is very complicated. Firstly paint on paper or fabric, then stitch and paste up. Some Buddhism Thangka is enchanted by respectful monks. The materials used to paint Thangka are very strict. The pigment has to be natural ore or plant materials which is gorgeous and bright, and won't fade in hundreds years.
